About Me

Ronna Garcia enjoys writing fiction books for middle grade kids, ages 7-12. Through the characters in the Coastal Kids Chronicles, readers will experience mystery, adventure, and witness the power of God as His Word is brought to life.

Ronna has worked in education as a Speech/Language Pathologist, English Language Arts Teacher, and a Science Teacher for nearly 20 years in the public school system. Her love of working with kids and enjoyment of her grandchildren propelled her to write the books in the Coastal Kids Chronicles series.

She lives in Selah, Washington with her husband Aurelio, and their dog Gigi. They have four awesome adult children, four wonderful kids-in-law, and eight amazing grandkids.

Ronna’s primary goal is to nurture her reader’s faith in God and help them tap into God’s power found in his Word.

When she is not writing, Ronna loves to adventure outdoors on a bike, in a kayak, or hike up a mountain trail. Her happy place is at the beach where she loves to walk the sandy shore, collect rocks and shells, or play in the waves. When Ronna can’t be outside, she enjoys baking, playing board games, journaling, spending time with family and friends, or cozying up with a good book and a steaming cup of coffee.

Mystery of the Hidden Stones Inspiration
Hello readers, I’m Ronna Garcia, author of Mystery of the Hidden Stones, the first mystery adventure story from the Costal Kids Chronicles.
Why did I write this mystery adventure?
I want to tell stories that engage your kids and grandkids in the Word of God, and open up their desire to know God personally. The Bible is living, active, and transforms our lives…let’s pass that onto them!
My inspiration?
Reading the Bible can be intimidating for young readers. That is why I chose Psalm 23 as my inspiration to tell the story in Book 1. Two years ago, I decided to help my grandkids memorize the whole chapter of Psalm 23, (yes, even 3 year old Abel!). We went verse by verse, and I taught them what each line meant for them in their lives. It was a blast to watch them quote scripture with the motions we came up with together.
